Santo Amaro da Barra Grande Fortress has lost its combat value (...). Therefore, it is necessary to plan its future through other missions that will guarantee its 500-year survival. That being so, the Catholic University of Santos - the first private organization in Brazil to accept the task of being the patron of this 16th century Fortress - has turned its military environment into an excellent stage for social, cultural, artistic, historical, environmental, sportive and community events. |
